Sometime ago I found an outfit that was selling exterior window shades (covers) that were attached with magnets (aimed at the SOB market). One magnet sewn into the fabric and one glued onto the inside of the glass.
I've bought magnets to test for strength and believe me they work through glass very well.
(Dan Gregg has used magnets to hold his gas cap in place while pumping gas)
Now to get the covers.
