OK, I needed a short test after a hard look at the fuel system. The look produced that new fuel lines are installed, I know not when but they're in good shape. No leaks or cracks in any of them. For whatever reason, the genset fill in the main tank has been plugged, and the genset runs off a tee in the main tank outlet line. Given the look of it, I suspect Norris Coach did this, why I know not. It has the California (two canister) vapor system, everything looks sound on it. Anyhow, after a hard look, I put the main tank back, assured myself the aux lines are also new, and added a Mr. Gasket 4 PSI pump in the aux tank line ahead of the valve and powered off the valve.

So, the trip. 100 degrees outside. Halfway down 285, road work has it choked from four lanes to two.. 20 minutes of stop and go in the heat. Not a stumble. Ran on to the show site, no problems. Drove it home yesterday, again no problems. Also no traffic backup which was nice. Let me note, this trip was on gas without alcohol in it. My last trip, with alcohol, vapor locked - or at any rate quit - if/when it got hot going uphill or sitting for any length of time. Consequently, I am of the opinion that alcohol laced gas is the basis of the troubles I had. That (to Bean Station) was the only time I've run the coach any distance in the hills with the toad on chitty gas. I shall continue to use non alcohol gas and expect I'll not have to power the aux pump. One trip is to south Tejas each year, where straight gas isn't available West of Houston, I may need it for that one.
