Heater/AC control cable [message #253512]

Hi all, while working to replace stereo I noticed the dash controls for the hot/cold heater/AC control cable had the end which is plastic broken off. It is the cable behind the dash control panel that connects to the arm that comes through the dash. The cable is probably frozen up from sitting so that is why the plastic end is broken. Is there a replacement for the plastic end of the cable or can you find one or replace the whole cable? I think I can free up the cable by using some motorcycle cable lubricant but just checking before I put the stereo in and don't want to have to pull it back out once done....Thanks, Glenn
