Hello everyone!

Matt Collie noted on Facebook that I've been awful quiet of late. I
figured I should poke my head in here and let y'all know that all is
well with me and Dana. :)

The new job has me SUPER busy. I left the United States Department of
Veterans Affairs in part because of the same factors that lead to the
VA hospital scandal, in part because I wasn't getting the professional
respect that I think I deserve, and because my student loans cost
$1600 a month and they weren't helping. So I left on a Friday, and on
Monday morning I walked in at Morgan and Morgan (for the people!). So
if you or anybody you know is a Veteran having trouble with the VA as
far as getting benefits is concerned, get in touch with me! I needs
the money! I get a bonus for each case I bring in the door. :)

I'll be moving to Jacksonville FL as soon as we can get our house
sold. Getting the house remodelled (new floors, paint inside and out,
window treatments, OMG clearing out the garage!!11!1oneeleventy) has
been a time consuming and EXPENSIVE project. Like, fifteen grand. Had
to cash in my retirement to get it done, but it HAD to get done if the
house is to sell. All other projects have pretty much taken a back
seat to getting caught up at the new job, and getting the house fixed
up and sold. Today is the day we finally put it on the market, going
to meet with the realtor at lunch.

Today is Steering Wheel Week apparently. I ordered a replacement for
my rotten steering wheel on my 1968 Pontiac Catalina, a beautiful
walnut 15 incher with the arrowhead emblem in the middle. And now I
have a replacement steering wheel for the Barn Queen coming! Whoever
backed out and decided they didn't want it (or decided to let me have
it instead) I really really appreciate it! The Barn Queen's steering
wheel rotted away to just a wire and a pile of plastic debris on the
funkadelic green shag carpeting.

Helped a homeless Veteran get off the street and into a subsidized
apartment. I now own a 1987 Lincoln Towncar Hearse. Door glass busted
out. Wiring savaged by squirrels and/or crackheads. To call the
interior “trashed” would be an insult to garbage everywhere. Used as
living quarters and storage for several years of life on the streets.
Smell is indescribable. (Scrap value is $400, currently hiding it from
my wife at a rental property I own, under a tarp).

I am in SO much trouble. :)

Actually, I probably should scrap it. I'm trying to downsize and get
moved to Jacksonville, and lord konws I don't need any more projects.
The hearse needs more repairs and decontamination than it's worth; the
same make and model, two years newer and never used as a homeless
shelter, can be had for about three grand.

Currently, the GMC project is obviously on hold whilst I deal with
house remodel and getting it sold. However, I know what needs to
happen next.
Order new drinking water tank, JimK has it in stock. Install.
Put in the new blanket locker my father in law built to replace the
rotten one in the Palm Beach.
Swap the nice aluminum wheels off the Royale and onto the Palm Beach.
Get gas tanks put back onto the Palm Beach.
Re-install Onan into the Palm Beach.
Put up some kind of curtains/blinds.
Service the AC units.
Stop and re-assess at this point what to do next.

Also, somewhere in here, need to see about getting the 78 Royale into
the Red Rock Desert RV Rental program.

So, that's what's up with me. :) Sorry I've been so quiet lately.
Busby busy busy.
