Hi, I'm looking for parts for my new (to me) 74 GMC.
1. Dash light switch knob (from what I see the knob and rod are removed from the switch via a push button on switch) or should I just glue the knob back on the rod?
2. Air Pressure switch for leveling system. Part number and where to buy.
3. Passenger side Exhaust gasket.
4. New belts for engine. Part numbers and where to buy.
5. Inside vent cover. Old style that has square corners.
6. Slides you attach curtains with for the front cab surround and also where to buy the curtains?
7. Coolant recovery tank or repair due to crack in bottom of plastic tank.
8. 12 volt fuse block in cabinet above converter..very touchy, any movement of glass fuses drops the connection. Thinking of upgrading to a newer style with newer fuses.
9. Any ideas about replacing sofa? The original chairs were replaced with a green sofa fold over top bed. I would like to replace with either a different comfortabe sofa or a bunk setup or even the chairs. If I go with the bunks (for grandkids) I would also need a source and all hardware.
10. Dining booth removal for a place to install a tv and maybe seating, or should I leave original?
11. Roof top TV antenna. Does not have a tv antenna at this time. What have others done and what seems to work best...Winegard with crank up? Suggestions and installation instructions would be great. I plan on mounting the tv on the passenger side so would mount an antenna on that side of the coach.
12. Rear folding bed. Should I keep that and just get a full size mattress to place on top of the current setup? What have others done and what is most comfortable?
13. Bathroom lighting. Both original lights need replacing or at least the lenses. What is available?
14. Drivers area lighting with the speaker and light. The plastic light covers need replacement...where to purchase? I touched the one over the driver seat and it disintegrated...lol
14. Drivers area console that attaches to dash. Just a table, would like something with cupholders to go in that area or just cut holes in the present table, any ideas from anyone that has upgraded that?
15. Microwave placement. Have seen pictures of other GMCs that have put a microwave in the storage area above the drawers in the hallway. I like that idea better than removing the stove and placing one down low..any ideas? Microwave model numbers? What did you do to wire in the microwave to the 120 volt circuit?
Sorry for the long list but that's just what I have found so far...and thanks for any help or suggestions..
