Left early Sunday morning from Flying J on I-80 in North Platte, Nebraska. Checked into the Winnemucca RV Park in Winnemucca, Nevada before sundown. Bought a lot of gas in 4 different states. Longest single day solo(except for my dog Spot) trip in my experience.

Nebraska provided more bugs on the windshield than all the other states combined.

Nothing unusual to report. Now have 9000 miles on my new MGMGMC 455 and Manny Tranny. Everything is working as expected including the (Ken Burton are you listening?) alternator. Previous Alt issues turned out to be self inflicted wounds. A topic for a future post.

Hoping to be a contender for Robin Hood's Million Dollar Prize for the most miles in a GMC in 2014.

Noticed that the highways in the 4 states I crossed yesterday and all the others I traveled in the past week were in much better condition than the interstates in California, the state with the highest tax on gas in the nation.
