It is not to elegant but it works.
I have now tested this failure on 4 machines. Two XP, One android, and One Windows 7. I have tried Chrome under XP and Android, IE under XP and Win 7, and Firefox under XP, Win 7, and an Android native browser under Android. All of these combinations fail the same way.
The problem is with the "tree view" display of messages.
The temporary work around is to read the messages as normal. Then before returning to the topic list click on the "FLAT VIEW" square button. Then to return to the Topic list go to the top of the listing and find the line that says: Home >> GMC >> GMCnet >> . Click on the word "GMCnet" to return to the topic listing and everything in that thread only will be permanently marked as "read".
As I said, it is not elegant but it will work until Eugene has time to find the issue.
