I'm replacing the fresh water fill on my 1976 Royale rear bath. The original hose is fragile and short, so I figure I might as well replace it. It appears you get to the tank by removing the counter top and sink along the rear window. However I can only find about 4 screws along the front edge. Is that all that holds the counter top on? One rather odd thing I noticed by looking in through the water fill opening is that there are at least two strings tied to staples at the rear underside of the counter, and they extend forward and hang down inside the rear bath. Do these serve any purpose?
Dan (PO), if you're reading this, I think you replaced this counter top, you might have the best answer. Thanks - Dave
