Forgot to mention. I have a 2007 Camry Hybrid. it has a lithium Ion battery bank charged by the engine or the free wheeling. I have 220,000 miles on it (tha'ts 360 km) and to date I have had no problems, no maintannce, beyond oil changes and a rear brake pad replacement abot 6 monts ago. The batteries perform flawlessly.
