On the way home from Tucson the day before yesterday we developed a cooling leak on the back of the intake manifold. We had just gotten into Albuquerque and noticed the leak under the coach and located the leak. It was a seepy leak at the back at the #8 intake. Called CadCompany/Fast Automotive http://www.cad500parts.com and they said that they can get in to work on it by noon yesterday. They said that they might get it done by the end of the day yesterday. When they got it apart they found that the wrong gasket had been installed when the engine was build. The gasket did not match the intake ports correctly and had barley sealed in spots. It was fortunate that the coolant only leaked to the out side of the engine and not into the oil side. They used a FelPro 1356 intake gasket set. We were on our way in less than a days loss in travel time and they provided great service at a fair price. They also changed the oil and filter, fixed a exhaust leak and a small proble
m with the power steering. They are the same guys that Jim K uses and have done major work for other GMCers in the past few years including an engine change. They also have bought Potter Performance Cadillac Parts.
