I have 4 original Yenko's. I hear of people having all kinds of Yenko parts for sale. As for the 427. The 427 that Don Yenko, ( and a few other dealers that knew about the COPO ordering system ) had GM put in 69 Camaros, and Chevelles was the engine that was installed in Corvettes of that year. GM did the installation by way of GM's COPO ordering system. COPO ment Central Office Purchase Order. Putting a 427 engine in a Camaro, or Chevelle had to be approved by engineering before being installed. At this time there are probable more COPO 427 engines out there now, then back in 69. This is because guy's are taking 454's, and putting 427 cranks in the 454 blocks to make 427's. In 69, the block engine code was stamped on the block by the right head. The cars VIN was stamped on the left side by the oil filter on the rough casting. The cast iron 427 really aren't worth a lot. There were 69 aluminum block ZL1 Camaros made in 69. Those blocks are worth a lot of money.
