You may want to go with the soft-closing variety like I did on my '73
upgrade. My cabinet maker used LAMP which are pricy on Amazon but you only
need one per cabinet (
http://www.amazon.com/Lamp-Soft-Closing-Lid-Stay/dp/B0086GUDKC/ref=sr_1_15?s=hardware&ie=UTF8&qid=1393009288&sr=1-15&keywords=lamp+hin ge).
Alternative would be Sugastune also at Amazon (
http://www.amazon.com/Sugatsune-Stay-Degree-Close-White/dp/B0006L39CY/ref=sr_1_12?s=hardware&ie=UTF8&qid=1393009288&sr=1-12&keywords=l amp+hinge)
at half the price. I don't believe I paid the high price on Amazon since
all 6 Birch laminate overhead cabinets were only $800 including the
hardware and installation.
