Hey all,

New guy here.

My name is John Fleming, and I live in Timmins, Ontario, Canada. And yes, it's cold here. Confused

I do not own now, or foresee myself owning a GMC Motorhome any time soon. That makes me sad, but what can you do??

I am a scale model builder. Not just as a hobby, but it's what I do for a living. I design, and manufacture scale kits. I do mostly Sci-Fi, but am working on a long line of 1/25 trucks, and truck accessories, as well as campers, including some Slide-Ins.

One of my Sci-Fi projects is the EM-50 (in 1/25) from the 1981 Bill Murry flick "Stripes". Of course, it was a converted GMC 260. I am also a fan of the basic MH, as well. The fact that they cross paths in this great movie is a real bonus.

My plan is to develop kits for the stock 230 and 260. Some of the parts you could rearrange to make the variation of the rear placed washroom. And then from the basic parts and a few add-ons, do a fictional (but converted in the real world) 290, or a 320. And for fun, also do the proposed trailer. With the basic parts, you can make a 18' or a 21' (w/o the tongue).


After all that rambling... I need help. I do not have access to a real MH. All my work to date has been based on info gathered from the net. Some good stuff, but not enough to do what I want to do. I am hoping that the members here could, and would be willing to, help out with info. I have a thousand questions, and then some more. I want to get it as close, and right, as possible.



So, have I come to the right place?? Or have I invaded your space??
