I wished for an early court date to get a deadbeat tenant out of a property.
Got the notice a week ago that trial date is 8:30 a.m. Dec. 24, Christmas Eve.
The court is in Long Beach; only 400+ miles away.
Not possible to take the GMC and make it back to the Bay Area for Christmas Eve dinner at my daughter's.
So, flying down on the 23rd and hoping to get out of court early enough for a Tuesday afternoon flight back.
Would have been cheaper to lose another months rent to the deadbeat if I hadn't already paid all the court costs.
The court system in The Peoples Republic of Kalifornia is very friendly to tenants. Not so much for property owners.
Thanks to all you netters for your help and advise over the past year.
Merry Christmas and/or Happy Holidays to all.
