Just took out the kitchen counter, stove and sink/faucet. Is there anything special about the sink and faucet. And its connector fittings?

I want to replace with new components. I heard a rumor that the faucet is unique to the GMC? But cant figure out why, if that is in fact true?

The sink seems pretty shallow as well?
