Just noticed a star pattern of carbon-like dust radiating out from the lug nuts, which also show signs of heat/dust on our right front wheel.

Looks like they got pretty hot while driving. Just noticed it yesterday after driving in Los Angeles rush hour traffic (not my idea!).

Wondering if it's a brake issue (not making any noise) or a bearing issue, or something else.

Haven't driven it since I noticed this, and pretty sure it just happened during the one city drive - didn't notice it after our cross-country trip, so don't think it happened on the way here.

Any thoughts?
