Greetings,

I cannot get the left side of my EL-II suspension to shut off. Whenever I turn the ignition on, the compressor turns on and continues to run until I either turn off the ignition, or pull the fuse. I thought it might be the control switches, so I removed them and cleaned them, but the compressor continues to run even with all three of the switches disconnected. I disconnected the plug that I thought was the power source on the compressor, but it is obviously not it. I'm totally lost. I have a schematic of the system, but I don't understand it. The system does not leak, so I'd really like to not have to replace the whole thing. Does anyone know how to work on it?

It is time for a new front end, on the Royale, and I was planning on putting on installing the original with a one ton set up, but replacing the front end and adding a new rear suspensions is a lot for me to handle at this point. I also have no headlights, so I need to figure out how to work on the Caddy steering column.

I have loved working on and enjoying my GMC since I've had it for the last 12 years, but it is getting to the point where I may have to give it up. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
