G'day,
Helen and I rolled into the storage facility in Humble, TX today at 4:30 PM. We left on August 17th and covered 3,564 miles. Only
problems were:
1) A new five year old Kumho tire (the spare) that was installed in Humble and suffered thread separation on the first day of our
trip just outside Lafayette, LA.
2) I blew a braided stainless steel hose off the middle disk brakes when KerryP made me one of his KISS parking brakes. Spoke to
the company that made them and they requested I send it back along with the one from the other side which I will do.
3) A few minor bouts with vapor lock remained minor with the aid of JimB's small Facet pump between the AUX tank and the selector
valve that comes on when I select AUX.
Helen and I would like to thank the GMCer's that provided gracious hospitality on our tour:
Bill & Betty Chimento
Robin & Dana Hood
Kerry & Carolyn Pinkerton
Chuck & Cathy Boyd
Byron & Martha Songer
Jim & Nancy Miller
Walt & Sara Halley
Ken & Laurie Burton
I did record the gas consumed on this trip but forgot to record Onan hours. I will compute it after I have the tanks fill before I
head back Downunder.
Regards,
Rob M.
