I had been noticing it happening more, and more on my way back from a road race track event in Michigan last month that I ran in. Love going fast on road courses. ( Growing old is mandatory. Growing up is optional. ) Had a hunch that it might be the top bearing in the steering column of the GMC. Got home, and pulled just the steering wheel off. Then put a few drops of engine oil on the shaft. Just above the bearing. The oil made its way to the correct spot. Smooth as silk now. Love it when things are simple.
