Holy crap! Last time I drove the Royale she had 16 year old Cooper tires on the original rims, equally old Bilstien shocks (4 of which turned out to have failed), and plugs and wires of old but unknown vintage. I checked and packed all the bearings as I replaced the tires one by one (and two leaking rear brake cylinders). Installed new wires and E3 plugs and cleaned and lubed the mechanical advance. Lubed all front grease fittings.

She runs and rides like a completely different vehicle. On the freeway going 65 I can take my hands off the wheel and she'll go perfectly straight.

And smooth. The smoothness of the ride is remarkable. Needless to say I am very, very pleased!
