Ok, I'm going to get new tires before Branson. I know from reading I want Polyester sidewalls load range E 225/75-16's (Alcoas)

There are a jillion web sites for tire stores and each has a dozen or so different models for 5-8 different brands. None of them say which are steel belted sidewalls and which are poly (rag).

What would be helpful is if folks that have this type of tire would post the model of the tire. Cooper superwidget xl, or Firestone ballbuster HT, or whatever.

I've got a metalshaping customer that owns a tire store and I called him. When I told him I wanted rag sidewalls, he didn't understand what I meant. I didn't think to be more specific and say Polyester sidewalls and steel tread belts. He recommended Firestone Transforce HT which some have said were harsh riding.

My current tires are about to age out while anything would be an improvement over the flat spotted ones I have, it'd be nice to have a quieter, softer ride.

I can call a bunch of places but hate to spend several hours talking to some sales guy who only knows that his boss told him to push today.
