I drove my GMC Royale 1978 for 91,000 miles without any problems, except
three vapor locks.

My Alaska trip was the highlight, I fished 240 lbs. filet of halibut, King
and Sockeye Salmon.

I carry almost every spare part and lots of tools just in case I have a
problem. I make fluid changes and all maintenance on time and record
everything on my computer so I have a permanent record of what was done and
what needs to be done. I installed almost all of the newest gadgets
available from our vendors and updated everything with some exceptions I
really do not need. I designed my own heavy duty torsion bars, since I could
not get the frontend of my Royale up to specifications. Also installed my
designed stainless steel side band. Other gadget and improvement are,
pre-oiler, halon firefighting equipment over engine, halon in refrigerator
and generator compartment and at entrance, all together I carry 22 lbs.
halon. The inside was fully restored, including new refrigerator, stove,
microwave, toilet flat panel TV etc.. Manny installed me his fabulous one
ton frontend. Jim K. installed more items, such as rear disc brakes, quad
bags, electric hand brake, electric windshield wipers, aluminum radiator and
many more gadgets.

The best thing is to get together with my friends be it the 49niners,
Western States, International or any GMCer I meet on the road.

I love my GMC, you can't take it with you, so just live longer and and
travel on until the Lord keeps calling you.

Coos Bay is coming up soon, see you there!
