I made a cup from a plastic water bottle adding vinegar.
Then taped the cup to the faucet letting the vinegar soak the faucet over night
Still had to work at it to get it out.
When you live with hard water vinegar is your friend.
I soak out shower head about once a mounts also when I replace our outside faucets washer I soak them to clean off all the minerals.
My wife cleans the white crud around the sinks with vinegar.
