Back a few weeks I wrote about our 77 Eleganza spilling out sewage as I
drove it home from its winter storage. the stench was aweful. Got it on my
ramp and investigated to see where the leak was coming from. Got all sorts
of advice and one in particular was correct. The tank was full and
overflowing. So there is a problem with the very top seal.
Now the embarrasing part is I thought I had emptied the tank almost
completely but could not figure out why it was leaking on the trip home,
and especially when I discovered the leakage was coming from the top. Go
figure especially when I thought the tank was near empty. Well I have a
maceator on it and along with that there are 2 shutoffs. When I stopped to
drain it I pulled only one shutoff and not the other (the maceator would
not work so I had to use the original drain. I did not pull the right
shutoff and only pulled the one to release through the maceator - so of
course little came out. I figured it was near empty. Duh!!!!
so while at home I then opened both shutoffs and drained the waste into
buckets then down our toilet. many many buckets.
took off the sender unit and maceator and received replacements from Jim
K.
For the past week and half our daughter along with 6 teens camped on the
Oregon coast with the coach. Not problems with it except for the front
battery (she had to start with the booster battery)
