Hello,

I'm about to put on new rear brake shoes and see talk about the carbon metallic pads & shoes. Are these worth the extra cost, and if so what is the benefit? Are they recommended more for the front pads, rear shoes, or both? We have the stock calipers, rotors, and drums in our GMC, no aftermarket stuff at the moment. I just wanted to check to see what the carbon metallic ones are all about, before I purchase the shoes and do all of the rear brakes. The alternative would be regular semi-metallic shoes from our local CarQuest store which they have in stock.

Thanks in advance for all of your help!
