Some time back I mentioned I had two leaking macerators. Figured it out today. Rubber gasket/washer on each side of impeller missing. Was not thinking when I found two on one of my parts units or I would have taken one to town and tried to find two more. So, not leaking now but one of my spares is going to leak.
Had one macerator that worked off the coach but would not pump when mounted. Tore that puppy apart also. Impeller was cracked where the shaft goes through allowing the shaft to spin inside the impeller.
My newest "run dry" Jabsco has no visable shaft in the end. Cant turn it with screwdriver like the older ones.
Is this information of any value to anyone here? I doubt it. But, makes me feel good to tell you anyway. Got a new macerator on the coach and two working spares. Got two parts units. Should never need to buy another macerator during my lifetime. Very Happy
Its life's little achievements that makes one feel good. I just have a need to share with someone who has a clue, not Teri. She does not dump the tank. Very Happy
