Got the GMC last fall & the step worked erratically but would eventually go out when the door was opened & pull in when the door was closed most of the time. Been working on other things & now getting ready tO use the MH. Step would NOT work at all. worked on the wiring for about an hour & determined the door switch was bad, (corroded) went to AZ & got two different ones & used the one closest to the size of the old one. Now the step comes OUT when I CLOSE the door & IN when I OPEN the door???????????????????
I guess I can use the on/off switch. When we get ready to go just open the door (step comes in), turn the switch off & close the door. When we get to our destination turn the switch on (step slides out) turn the switch off, use the step while parked. Repeat when we are ready to leave.
