Thanks for all the suggestions and ideas. I think we have the heat issue identified as a weak or bad fan clutch. We experimented today in cooler weather by running without the dash air. Temps stayed under control on the flat but did climb to around 206 when going up hill. The electric fans helped but would not draw the temp down nearly as fast as a working fan clutch. The dash air adds about 5 to 10 degrees of additional heat to the radiator in this high ambient temperature. I found the correct fan clutch at a NAPA store today and it is even the made in US one. I also ordered two external oil coolers which I will install along with the fan clutch when we hit port in AZ at SteveFs place on Wed. If we drive mostly in the mornings when it is cooler out then we should have no issues from here to there.

We are in Ft. Stockton, TX, tonight and just watched our Oregon State BB team win game 2 to advance in the college World Series. The coach is really comfortable whether on the road or parked as we are right now. Roof air keeps us cool, the new TV works really well with the cool Jack digital roof top antenna JimBs guys installed to replace the space cadet unit that was on the coach. They color coordinated the roof top stuff so the pod, AC cover and refer vent are the body silver while the two new roof vents and the Jack antenna are black to match the Clasco stripes. She is running great and all it would take is a logo to make it look like a Raiders tailgate machine!

We are both pleasantly surprised by how well the wet bath works. Our only previous experience is with the Royale dry bath. The door is so flat and seals so well that no water leaks out and no shower curtains are needed. The top and bottom sliders also fit well and do not leak. A carpet piece is nicely bound to just fit the floor area so to shower we just remove the rug and the towels, close everything up and go "ah". Sharon is in there right now after warning me that she intended to drain the water tank getting the road grime off. I emptied the black tank and filled the water tank when we first arrived so will hold off putting in the only black tank chemical we ever found that really works after four years of full timing in a rolling condo and ten years in the Royale. Goofy name - five star happy camper- but it really works. Put it in and never flush the tanks. Takes two or three applications to overcome all the embalming fluid that has been resident in there but onc
e it does there simply are no more smells.

Ps - JimBs guys are a lot of fun to work with. Highly recommended.
