I am here at the Vintage Camper gathering at PJ Hoffmaster SP near Muskegon MI and I am seeing and talking to people that have restored little - maybe even tiny - trailers.

Many have done much more work than can be justified. There is a Father/Daughter team here that have restored a Layton such that it looks like it is about a week old. All that they could actually salvage was the metal under frame, metal skin and PICTURES of the interior......

They cleaned and painted the underframe, remade ALL of the structural wood of the house frame that held the skin, got the skin repainted and hung it on the wood, then rebuilt the interior.

To me, this is kind of like saying that a GMC has good windshields, let's rebuild the rest of it.

This was not the only example of this level of work here, and...
Some of these people own five or six sub-twenty foot travel trailers. Of those that do, those are often a mix of manufacturer and model.

I rest my case......
