Recently lowered steering column and installed new steering gearbox. Discovered there are no boots on the ends of the adjustable drag link, and no boot on the lower part of the steering shaft covering the knuckle joint just above the steering gearbox.
Can I simply buy boots for the drag link, pull it off, clean it up, and reinstall with boots and grease?
Is there supposed to be a boot on the lower part of the steering shaft?
1st ever RV trip next week to Corvallis, OR. We are going from no experience to an 8 hour drive and dry camping for 3 nights. Fingers crossed.
