My new-to-me 76 Birch has new looking tires on it with only about 500 miles
since installed. Unfortunately they are eleven years old, so I am replacing
them.

I just checked with my local tire shop (where I have always taken all of my
vehicles) about new tires. They suggested Mesa Tires. I've never heard of
that brand, but was told that they are made by Cooper Tire right here in the
USA (one of my requirements). For a set of six 225/75R16s to go on my Alcoa
clones, including disposal fees, tax etc, the cost out the door is
$1,095.30. That seems reasonable to me, but I thought that I would ask if
anyone has good or bad experiences with Mesa?
