Anybody know of a torque converter rebuilder on the East coast? I think Ken H. knows someone in Americus but he's gone for a few months. (Ken if you are around lurking E-Mail me when you get a chance). I was going to send my S/P to Manny for a rebuild but when I pulled the Ragusa pan there was way too much metal. I went ahead and pulled it down and found the gears stripped, output shaft stripped, planetary gears and the whole carrier eat up wasn't even worth a core. The only thing good in it was the forward and reverse clutch packs. So I had an working extra tranny so I pulled it down today. It was perfect no wear on any bearings or thrush washers. So im changing everything over with new seals clutches bands over to my S/P case. The only thing Im having problems locating is the variable pitch converter. I would even get mine cut flushed and rewelded if I could find someone to do it.

Ex Avion now looking for a 23' Jeep Wrangler Towd
