I have my 78 403 Royale up on 14 inch jack stands in my shop to put on a quad bag system, rear disc, change all engine hoses, and new tires and rims. Thus a great time to do something with the exhaust. I like the idea of a rear muffler. That would reduce my under floor heat that warms up my fuel tanks. The exhaust system that is under there is in great shape except the Y pipe, and one muffler. If I stay stock. I'll put two mufflers on, and the Y pipe. I love the sound of a good V8. Just not under my GMC. What are some part numbers for some good flowing quit mufflers. If I go with the rear muffler. I'll have to pull out a real nice 2.5 tail pipe that is welded in place. That's because my two stock mufflers wouldn't be up front giving up lots of BTU's. Thus reducing the amount of exhaust volume to the rear. So that will mean that I'll have to put in a 3 inch Dia. tail pipe, due to the increase in hot gas volume. Emery has a good number for that muffler. Bob Dunahugh
