With my usual mechanical abilities I have screwed up once again. In walking through a diagnosis on my Onan 6000 with the help of Ken Burton, I removed the carb bowl. Seeing no gas in the bowl, I'm figuring it's a fuel problem (duh!)
Then I notice that the hose from the tank to the pump is pinched in a way that could impede the flow of gasoline. The pump is pumping.
Since it was off I decided to give the bowl a good cleaning with brake cleaner. I dried it with the air hose and as I did the bolt (nut) in the center of the bowl dropped. I have the washer and the screen but the bolt is missing.
The bowl has WALBRO USA stamped on the bottom and no other identifying marks.
Anyone have a dead Onan sitting around or a source for parts for these things?
I'm going to try to find a child's metal detector to try and locate the part I lost, but in the meantime I have a trip to florida coming up and I know it's going to be hot!
Thanks a million.
