I see some mention of a Fantastic Vent in the bath buried in a thread about solar or something. I think this is worth having it's own thread. When we bought our GMC it was so dark in the wet bath that we had to have the lights on anytime we went in there. At our first GMC convention in B.S. Mi. I saw what looked like a sun roof in the bath. Found out it was a Fantastic Vent Fan. No need for a light in the bath, even during a cloudy day. Had to have that, even though I had just paid 69 bux for a new standard fan and installed it. Talked with several folks and found out that we were going to be nearby the factory in Imlay City. Was also told they would install.
Long story short, made an appointment and had two holes cut and two reversable 3 speed fans put in at the factory. We had the second put in over the bed as we only have one a/c.
The bath is tight to get one in. Have to make the cut just right. I do not "allow" a pod so that was not a problem for us. I cared nothing about the fan, just wanted the free light. The fan is used while showering with the on demand unit to withdraw. WARNING! Don't have the fan on withdraw when you flush the toilet. Enough said. The fan is used to blow in after shower to help dry the thing out. Never got the smell from the black tank vent but certainly have had an odor from the flushing toilet with the fan sucking upward.
Anyway, there are other brands that may very well fit. I see new ones in the swap meets at conventions for as little as 60 bux sometimes. I always think "what a steal" but I don't need any more, got 4 Fantastics now, counting the portable one we cary.
If there is not, there should be a "pattern" folks can print off to use for installing this in the wet bath. A very good upgrade if you use the bath as much as we do. I think Arch may have put up pictures that show just where to cut. Search the photo sight.
