As most of you know, In the early days of GMC Motorhomes, GM had Gemini
Corporation of Mt. Clemens, Michigan design and build all of the furniture
and all the modules in '73 and '74 motorhome. When GMC cancelled that
contract and moved production in house, Gemini had a garage sale to sell off
all the unused parts and materials. My neighbor, who owned a '73 Canyon
Lands at the time, got wind of the sale from one of his patients. He went
over to the Gemini facility and purchased sight unseen the last remaining
stock of a flexible laminate material that was used to make the particle
board cabinets and modules look like real wood. When it came time to get
his order from the warehouse he was surprised when the Gemini guy said,
something like this, "Hey Joe you're going to need to get the forklift for
this guy's stuff". My neighbor expected the "stuff" to be just 2 small
rolls of material that he could carry to his car. Instead they brought out
huge 2 rolls, each weighing about 500 lbs. He had to go and borrow a pickup
truck to get the rolls home. He used part of it to wall paper his garage,
wallpapered a couple of his relatives and friends garages plus he did his
recreation room. I think he even wallpapers some rooms in his office. I
even got some to cover some plywood parts I made for my Palm Beach to match
the wood grain it has. All of this only used up about half of a roll. He
still had that and full roll left when he died a few years ago. His
grandson, who moved into his Grandpa's house, was going to dump it all.
When I saw him struggling to roll it out to the street, I said I'll take
it. Now I am the owner of the world's supply of what Gemini used to make
particle board look like real wood.

Does anyone need any? For the price of shipping & handling I'd be willing
to give some away. I have more than enough for to last me the rest of my
life.
