I need to cut out a notch and insert a "structural" pocket in the step behind the driver's seat to accomodate my new jack-knife sofa leg/support/track. It needs to be about 6" deep and 3" wide and a couple feet long.
My head is too fat to stick very far into the engine hatch to see what might be there, and, although my arms are pretty long, I can't feel all the way over to where I need to cut to verify that there is nothing in the way. I don't have the front end high enough to get my fat self under it to look up from the bottom.
Has anybody ever attempted to use that space before? What did you find under there?
If no answers, I will get out the jack and block it up high enough to get my fat self under it to take a look.
Thanks in advance.
