Our macerator leaks a little if the hose is below the tank level. Don't
know why, but it's not a big problem.
Looks like liquid is leaking past the impeller to eventually seek the
level of the liquid in the tank. I'm able to connect the extension hose
without spilling more than a drop or two, if any at all.
If there's liquid in the hose, and I drain it out and leave the hose
down, it just drips. No continuing real flow, just drips.
Our macerator was installed by the PO in 1992, so it may be a problem
with older style macerators, or just worn parts. Don't know which
macerator I have.
