My 78 Royale has ULTRA alloys - look very similar to the Alcoa's - and for some reason I can't figure out - has a very long 2.375" lug nut.

Now very rusty chrome plated steel lug nuts that look bloody terrible. Twice I removed them and with a wire brush and polishing rogue managed to buff out most of the rust - at a great price to my now permanently deformed thumbs! Alas the last time was too long ago and now they are past it - a bit like myself.

Calling Gorilla - they do indeed have a lug nut the right size in stainless but on checking availability they are priced at over $6 apiece. I want 50 so that's outside my budget.

Anyone know if I can put a smaller - not as long - cheaper lug nut on without the whole coach falling apart?

Regards to all
