On the subject of laptop screens, my main problem is glare, not brightness,
from any backlight. I work from my GMC, have 2 laptops (HP G60 and Dell
Latitude) , and the difference in glare is incredible. The HP is almost
unusable in a backlighting situation, especially in bright sun, while the
Dell has virtually no glare under all lighting conditions. I understand
they make anti-glare screens as a solution but why not make all the screens
that way, especially laptops that will most likely be used frequently in a
high light intensity environment. Until now I was not a Dell fan but will
checkout glare on any replacements.

Soon to be snowbound,
