The discussion in an earlier post about toads and trailers, has got me thinking about towing my 4wd 5000lb. suburban. I do have an addon brake system and it can be towed with all 4 down with the transfer in neutral and I do have a massive tran cooler. I know it would kill mileage and harder on the tranny but still beats my wife following in it. In the earlier post the gentleman said he had towed a trailer with 19000lb gross weight. I wonder was that the GMC and trailer together or the trailer only? Any comments good or bad on towing above 3K.
