G'day,
I am heading back to Houston in February to work on the projects I have over there when the temperatures are cool enough not to
cause me to wilt by noon.
One of the things on my TTD list is to assemble the 455 Paterson engine that came out of a burned GMC up in Canada. I intend to take
it to a shop to have it run / tuned on a dyno.
I was thinking about running it with exhaust manifolds and then with headers to compare the torque / horsepower of both.
I seem to remember reading that there are two different companies that make headers for the GMC. One set require the removal of the
header on the driver side to replace the governor, the second does not.
Questions:
1) Am I correct?
2) If yes which ones don't require removal to R&R the transmission governor?
Regards,
Rob M.
