Mickey,

I owe you an apology; turns out I was confused not you!

I reviewed the information published on the GMCnet in "MaxxFan on Sale" and YOU are correct and I was wrong!

The rear of the lid extends 8 inches behind the hole. As it opens it pivots from the front which is why they state 7 1/2 inches
clearance is required behind it.

I screwed up for two reasons:

1) For some stupid reason I thought the front to rear dimension of the MaxxFan was 14 inches and that's impossible.

2) I installed a second A/C on Double Trouble and to do so the rear rail of the "luggage" rack had to be cut. I assumed that the
MaxxFan was smaller than the A/C (it is) and that would not be necessary. I also assumed that there is enough distance from the back
of the hole to the rear rail for the cover to lift when opened. I assumed your GMC was the same as my Avion and since you measured
yours I am incorrect there too!

SORRY for confusing YOU!

Regards,
Rob M.
