I'm stuck and need some AC>DC help here guys.
The wet weather brought on a new problem, I guess. I'm a Park Host and live
between my trailer and my 26er.
I have a (the only RV hook-up - it's an Open Space Preserve, not an RV
Park) sweet campsite with 220V and heavy 110V for the trailer
along with the 100 amp service provided by the County of San Diego - way
out here in Hellhole Canyon Open Space Preserve.
I have not had my GMC on the road yet -I've been working on it part-time
(as I go to school -and on break right now) Since I bought her
in late June - and have only had a recent rural test drive -and top off of
the tanks. A total of 25 miles. She seems to run pretty well now, YaY!
However, the other night in pouring down rain with two heaters running
(yes, potential over amping) and a bit of a drip coming in off a leaky
vent, I blew a circuit.
(The rain test worked). Seems to drip down in to an area with the converter
and the incoming electrical. ahem. Well, it doesn't rain much here.
SO then the "lights" went out.... rather both heaters stopped. I froze. the
next day I looked the fuse box over, yes the bottom one was burnt,
I replaced with a shorter, but worthy fuse. which burnt again eventually.
But it took me a while being new at this, to realize I was running the
interior lights off the batteries. - had to leave for a day or two, but now
I'm trouble-searching and have no clue how the batteries are charged by
the AC 220v system. I was reading a blog that talked about a $26.00 part
called a ___________ that might have gone out. (I stopped to look that
up... taking too long...but will later).
So now I'm on Extension-cord power so I don't have to burn up my batteries.
I will launch this now and add to it as you query me.

not sure.
