Some of the hand cleaner wipes do a good job of removing oil without removing paint. Most brake cleaners and many carb cleaners will remove paint. This is my last post for a month as our ship is about to leave San Diego to do the Panama canal both ways and I won't pay the outrageous ship rates for Internet access. See you all after Thanksgiving.

JR,

The brake cleaner John Sharpe and I buy from Wal Mart (blue can) will remove paint which Jared wanted to avoid. So does their carb
cleaner.

Rob M.

As Gene says and Duane would have said, NO WATER! Wipe it down with
lots of rags or shop towels and use a little solvent such as brake
clean on the exterior parts of the Onan.
