Hi, all... I'm in the process of trying to install a primer switch in my power panel, to turn on the fuel pump to my Onan Emerald Plus 6500 watt generator (a newer series than the one our coaches came with originally). When I try to apply 12V to the + side of the run time meter, the genset cranks. I checked the schematic, and it looks like the starter motor and fuel pump are wired together (with a diode). There's another lead that powers the fuel pump through a resistor (pin #6 on the P3 plug associated with the A1 control board). I suppose I could get clever and just try to supply power to that point, but have VERY poor schematics to work with, and don't want to chance messing up my control board for the sake of installing a not-totally-necessary priming switch.

Has anyone done this mod to this series of generator?
