Be careful using the leds designed to run from a 120vac wall wort. They are looking to see 12vdc, and will consistently with the wall wort. That is not true of the 12vdc house current in your GMC. There these lights will see anything from 10.5 to 15vdc depending on the state of battery discharge and the state of the battery charger. With no voltage control, you may well burn out the leds very quickly. Some might survive while others will not. The good quality leds designed for RV use all have voltage regulators built in to handle these wide voltage swings.

Here is a similar under counter LED light available from IKEA.
Each puck has 18 LEDs. They are connected with 6 banks of 3
LEDs in series. (6 times 3 = 18).

I took apart the Puck I purchased. Inside there is a 30 ohm resistor
for each string of 3 LEDs in series, to limit the current.
If you look at the photos below, you can see 6 resistors inside the Puck. It's a simple way of controlling the LED brightness.
