I was running around in The Beast today; just around town, lots of stop and go. I took a laser thermometer along and periodically checked the temp on the new rear muffler.
Now admittedly this wasn't a long highway run, so I was only seeing temps in the 240 to 270 range, shot from under the bumper.
What is acceptable/expected under highway conditions.
This is a 455 engine.
