Hi Les,
Thanks for posting these most interesting pictures. Perhaps these subtle changes help explain the different experiences we are hearing about as people install 1 ton front ends. The GMC manuals do not reflect any geometry differences year to year following the change from 3 degrees static caster in 73 lowered to 2 degrees in 75 and on, but while most people have installed the 1 ton with great results, a few have been fighting to get theirs to drive correctly. There is not much adjustment range in the upper A arm to effect camber and caster, but any change in where those brackets are located or where the adjustment slots are in relation to the ball joints could have a profound effect.
