I have been using the Howell TBI system for many years. This past
summer I started having fuel pump problems. Replacing the fuel pump
with my spare seems to have solved the problem. But I am thinking
that it would be nice to have two fuel pumps, one for each tank, so I
can just throw the switch if I think I am having fuel pump problems.

Do these fuel pumps have internal check valves? If so I can just 'T'
the outlets together and not have to worry about back-flow through the pump.

If the pumps do not have internal check valves, what would be a good
check valve (suitable for use in a fuel line).

What is the make and part number for the pumps Howell is using on the
new TBI systems? I have the older style pump (Airtex E8228). I tried
to order a new spare and they are no longer avalable.
